Huge congratulations to our Director of Clinical Research, Dr. Neil Desai, who was awarded a CPRIT grant of over $1.4M! This grant will help support clinical trials aimed at adapting radiotherapy to treatment response, as well as artificial intelligence innovations.

Dr. Steve Jiang gave an invited talk today at the Gilbert W. Beebe Symposium on AI and ML Applications in Radiation Therapy, Medical Diagnostics, and Radiation Occupational Health and Safety organized by National Academies. His talk was titled, "AI Agents for Adaptive Radiotherapy."

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Jessica Ouyang from UT Dallas Computer Science to our department as part of our AI in Medicine Series! Dr. Ouyang delivered an insightful talk titled "Organizing and Evaluating Information with Large Language Models."
We enjoyed today's visit from Dr. Wei Liu, PhD, DABR, FAAPM, FAIMBE of Mayo Clinic Arizona and hearing him speak on the topic, "Large Language Models in Radiation Oncology: From Method Development To Clinical Implementation."
Jiaxin Li, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow and member of the Medical Artificial Intelligence and Automation Lab, presented her work, “Personalized Simulation of Radiation-induced Immune Suppression for Head-and-Neck Cancer Across Various Radiotherapy Regimens.” Dr. Li is a recipient of the #ASTRO25 Recognition Award.
