I shared my struggles as a student w/ my classes. I had conversations about grades. I told them grades are no promise or guarantee of future success or failure. They are just a snapshot in time of a particular skill set & never paint the full picture of the Ss. #elmtritons

What a crazy week first no Wi-Fi.. then solid Wi-Fi… then Quizlet live.. then students doing awesome things… And Open house… did I mention we got a bunch of science material 🎁with our new textbooks… it’s a roller coaster 🎢 just like real life and I love it… #elmtritons

Early in the school year I told the SS that if they have an idea or experiment they wanna try that they can share it with me, we can talk about it & see if we can squeeze it into the class. Ss are the source of some of the most inspirational science projects ever. #suhsd listen

Variables lab turned out to be more fun for the students than I expected. Love the good surprises… Did they learn everything they needed to know about variables? I doubt it but I get to try again next week… #elmtritons

The cost of being a tech pioneer in the classroom is saying sorry when things crash and burn. And then follow up by telling the students how proud you are of their grit and resilience as they attempted to troubleshoot and work their way through the challenges.
