Britain spent half its treasury to free slaves. The loan we took out in 1834 do so (we had to pay the slave owners) we only paid back fully in 2014. We freed 800,000 slaves and even policed the seas to capture slave ships to free the slaves onboard. (1/2)

What makes it all the more striking is that the British Empire acted against its own imperial interests to do so. The coordinated & concerted efforts of the Empire to free slaves have been characterised by some historians as the world's first true social justice movement. 🇬🇧

I am 43 years old. I cannot recall a time in my life when I have been as depressed about the state of Britain and England —a country I love—as I am today. Here are 5 things that happened in the last week alone that point to the terrible future that awaits our once great country

Marketing rejected this format somewhere in the 80s and then spent 30 years and roughly $30 trillion before going back to the blinding obvious 🙄

Fascinating thread. Mostly guys responding with a lot of which I can concur. It truly is dire times for dating, and it just shows those recent dwindling birth rate figures that came out are going to go off a cliff. If there's not a massive pendulum swing soon, the west is doomed

Stop everything and watch this… Tucker Carlson just exposed billionaire Mark Cuban live on stage. Cuban, who claims his family is from Ukraine, lectured about sending more money to Ukraine and how the U.S. should help — while openly admitting he hasn’t sent them a single

Charlie Kirk dedicated his life to defending free speech, liberty, and the open exchange of ideas, the principles that make this nation great. He embodied the spirit of Voltaire’s famous principle: “I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight for your right to say it.”
