It will be interesting to see how the Yankees navigate the late innings tonight. In last night’s game, Weaver, Bednar, and Williams all threw at least 20 pitches, most of them high stress. To add more pressure, Luis Gil has walk issues that could shorten his outing. Go Red Sox!

Williams has a big down arrow for me. Defensively he’s elite but offense has been a point of concern. He draws his fare share of walks and has some pop in his bat, but there’s plenty of swing-and-miss, namely a 34.1% K rate at AAA with a sub-70% overall contact rate
