Universities should be spaces to engage. Instead, across the world they are shrinking—fear replacing dialogue, silence replacing critique. Dr. Snehashish Bhattacharya offered a braver vision: the university as a critical space. His termination is a sad moment for us all. News👇🏽

Gaza is gasping, the world must not look away. I am shaken beyond words by what is unfolding in #Gaza. Every visual is gut wrenching. The cries of infants, the sight of starving children, the bombing of hospitals, and the declaration of genocide by the UN Commission of Inquiry

Babasaheb showed caste survives through violence against women and control over their bodies. There’s no casteless gender, no genderless caste. Anti-caste work ignoring gender justice is complicit in sustaining caste and patriarchy.

What’s happening at SAU isn’t institutional failure—it’s exactly what successive admin have built. The administration, heartless and cruel beyond imagination, has actively created an environment enabling sexual harassers. Their treatment of the survivor makes one’s blood boil.

In 2018, this smooth-talking gaslighter defended a professor who harassed a student, saying something like, “The professor is well-educated and reputable, so he cannot harass anyone.” And now he’s heading the investigating committee. Shame.

My essay on alleged sexual assault at South Asian University, affectively a sovereign and lawless fiefdom untouched by Indian law. If there is concern for young people, please rescind the immunity enjoyed by this place and let local laws be applicable to crimes committed there
