HT: Newport 1-1 Tranmere Hasn't been a match of huge quality but Rovers have levelled the scores just before half time, thanks to Garrett's deflected strike. It's been physical at times and a good battle between two teams looking to sign off on a high. #TRFC

GOOOOOOOOOOOAL, DENNIS! Norman's cross to the back post is missed by Newport defenders and falls for Dennis, who finishes smartly to hand Tranmere the lead. 1-2 in the 48th minute. #TRFC

Rovers have started this half much brighter than they started the first, taking control of the ball with more frequency and starting to play the game at their own pace. #TRFC

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL, PATRICK! Breathing room for Rovers, with Patrick producing a cracking driven strike from the edge of the box, finding the bottom left corner and making it 1-3. 70 minutes played. #TRFC

Wood is on to replace top scorer Patrick, who ends the season with a goal. 72 played. #TRFC

Unless something drastic happens in the last 15 minutes, Patrick finishes the season as Tranmere's top goal scorer, with 11. Dennis' nine puts him second on the list. #TRFC

GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL, DAVISON! A fourth goal for Tranmere, as Hawkes' cross from the right hand side is met in the air by Davison, who produces a cracking header into the bottom left corner. 78 on the clock and some home fans have started to make their way out of the ground. #TRFC

FT: Newport 1-4 Tranmere Four goals and three points to end the season on a high, despite a challenging campaign. Time to go away, refresh and come back next season with aims of performing much, much better. Over and out for the 2024-25 season. #TRFC
