Don't miss the 41st GSS at UB Dept of Chemistry !

Grateful to the Sloan Foundation for supporting the partnership of UPR Cayey, Inter Arecibo, InterBayamon, Chemistry Department, and UB Dept of Chemistry on a project that seeks to expand pathways for undergraduate students from Puerto Rico to chemistry graduate programs.

Congrats to Damalka Balasuriya, graduate student in UB Dept of Chemistry. Her TEM image (magnetic nanoparticle (black) decorated with solid (blue) and fibrous (yellow) silica nanolayers) won "Best Communication of Research" in the "Art of Research" competition of UBuffalo Graduate School.

Very proud of the outstanding students from UPR Cayey and RUM/UPRM and their accomplishments in the summer research program at UBuffalo. Excelente! UB Dept of Chemistry Sloan Foundation UBuffalo Engineering and Applied Sciences @UBSTEM

Luis A. Colón cen.acs.org/careers/divers… via C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) Indeed, very honored to have been included in this year’s Trailblazers issue and be among this outstanding group-kudos to all. Thank you C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) for the honor and to all who have reached out with very kind words. Gracias!

Happy to have hosted Prof Arriaga from UMN Department of Chemistry while visiting UB Dept of Chemistry for our Foster Colloquium seminar series. Glad he had a chance to visit Niagara Falls-a flash tour, still enough to get wet by the Falls! Thank you for sharing your research with us!

Celebrating with Joseph Gardella at his retirement party in the UB Dept of Chemistry - here with analytical chemists colleagues. Thank you Joe for all your contributions to science, to UBuffalo and the community. We wish you all the best in retirement.

An amazing Networking Roundtable "Building an academic career as a Separation Scientist" at Pittcon Conference + Exposition 2025! @ACS_ANYL ACS SCSC American Chemical Society
