The GRID vs The Design

Switching back to Sketch from Figma for personal projects has been a great decision. I know Auto Layout was a big gap that made lots of people hesitate. Now it's here and it works great. Give Sketch a chance!

In today’s Sketch update, we’ve added Frame as a container type, which is a long overdue no-brainer — but we’ve also added a Graphic container. Graphics aren’t the standout in this update, but to me they’re the most interesting story to tell. So, here’s why graphics exist 🧵

Oliver Pitsch Sketch Depends. Stacks are in Figma (not done 100% the same), Frames are (but Auto Pin and useful details aren’t), Graphics aren’t, inserting and swapping components with the Command Bar only barely and that’s being generous IMO. We’re not doing it for Figma’s customers, but for ours.

I was freaking out with Sketch because I couldn't find the "Fit text" feature it was moved to the top, so here you go if u are blind like me :)

5. Double-click the edge of text layers or frames to make them fit.
