I wrote a noir inspired by metaphysics and surrealist philosopher, André Breton. Thanks so much to two of my faves, Expat Press and their awesome guest editor don't submit! for publishing it!

As a reader for Reckon Review & Fractured Lit, overused words right now: Murmur, hush, hum, whisper, shimmer, ache, thrum, hollow, bloom, tremble, glint, haunted/haunting, feral, liminal, and lilt. I’m gonna start issuing tiny literary speeding tickets. 😅

Jillian Luft But yeah remember when Twitter was just depressed people being funny and not a bunch stuckup, morality warriors calling people out over bullshit?

The most important contribution an editor makes is not actually her edits: it's the way she slows you down in thinking the work is *done*. Sit on a piece for a while and you will see the 700 ways it might be better. I rarely take an editor's advice directly. But I love the delay.
