A Canadian public university is being dismantled today: Sudbury's Laurentian University (was a) northern university that served many communities, including Indigenous and Francophone. Shame on the Province, LU Board of Governors and its Admin.

What is happening at Laurentian is an act of national vandalism. Laurentian University - Université Laurentienne played a huge role for Francophone and Indigenous voices. It helped stop the massive youth outmigration. We knew Doug Ford didn't give a shit about the north but this will have impact for years.

Last Monday, my university @laurentianu announced restructuring closing 69 programs & terminating staff, administration, and faculty jobs A quarter of the entire university was lost– 110 faculty jobs and a similar percentage of staff positions – these were career positions 1/12
