Last week, we were at the event on future perspectives on R&I organised by @HU24EU 🇪🇺🇹🇯. MarcLemaitreEU talked about the need for budgetary ambition, allignment between EU- national policies and simplification (starting with the last HE WP).

Some ideas: 🔵 We need a common European Research Policy. 🔵 Key to maintain the independence of ERC and invest in MSCA. 🔵 Even a budget of 200 billion is not enough (merely a 0,13% of European GDP), to reach ambitions set by the Heitor&Draghi's reports.

Erasmus+ programme welcomes the completion of negotiations to deepen EU-Switzerland relations. This new agreement allows 🇨🇭 to join several Union programmes, including Erasmus+. 🇪🇺🤝🇨🇭

Starting in 2027, Switzerland 🇨🇭will fully join Erasmus+, giving tens of thousands of students and staff higher education & vocational training opportunities. 🎓

Hundreds of 🇪🇺 and🇨🇭 education & youth organizations will join forces and cooperate in innovation, tech use, new teaching methods, & non-formal learning. 📚🤝

Beyond joining Erasmus+, 🇨🇭 will treat EU students the same as Swiss students for tuition and related fees in most public universities. Current access levels for EU students will be preserved. 🎓🌍
