LPDC Journal Club #8 ๐ฑ๐ Exciting news from the lab of Prof. Bert Sels at KU Leuven, in RSC Energy Journals. Purified solvents are no longer necessary for an efficient reductive catalytic fractionation of wood. #sustainable #biorefinery processes Read more๐ doi.org/10.1039/D3EE00โฆ

LPDC Journal Club #9 Exciting eco-friendly polymer development! Prof. Geoff Coates from CornellChemistry has produced a recyclable 1000+kDa UHMW pDXL with excellent physical properties similar to UHMWPE, with a metal free process Learn more in J. Am. Chem. Soc. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jaโฆ

Throwback to a great evening! Our Farzaneh successfully defended her thesis focusing on liquid-phase ALD application. EPFL Chemistry We will miss you!! Good luck with the rest of your carrier !

I was humbled to talk yesterday at #CSC2023 about my journey as a gay person in Chemistry. We are underrepresented and less retained in STEM, but things are changing! A lot of it thanks for the work of allies such as Working for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity ๐ณ๏ธโ๐

What an inspiring week for LPDC! ๐ Part of the team had the chance to present their work at the #biobased #materials Gordon Research Conference in Maine. Thanks to the chairs for the great organisation URD ABI Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI) And special congrats to Marie for the best poster prize !

Congrats to our #BikeToWork team with a total of 1155km ! EPFL Chemistry Sustainability in and outside the lab!

I'm honored to represent the Canadian scientific community ๐จ๐ฆ at EPFL ๐จ๐ญ as a holder of the #Banting post-doctoral fellowship. Thanks for all the support Audrey Moores and Jeremy Luterbacher ๐ Looking forward to sharing the cool nanoscience I've been doing at Laboratory of Sustainable and Catalytic Processing ๐งช

Great to see how well-represented our #NCCRCatalysis team was at Swiss Chemical Society #SCSFall2023 ๐งโ๐ฌย ๐Congrats toย Thomas Moragues (deMello Group Javier Perez-Ramirez), Anastasiia Komarova (Laboratory of Sustainable and Catalytic Processing), & Jeff Guo (LIAC at EPFL) for winning Best & Runner-up (x2) Presentation Awards! ๐

Allez team LPDC! We had a lot of fun at the Lausanne Xmas Run with team Bloom Biorenewables Ltd ๐๐โโ๏ธ
