Great to hear John Bird this morning with Lady Val Network talking about the importance of building a fence at the top of the cliff instead of waiting for the crisis at the bottom. It's what we try to do in reducing intergenerational crime and it works.

Halloween carnival right on our doorstep, my children throughly enjoyed it, & it was lovely to get out and enjoy some well deserved fun after a tough week, now were drinking hot chocolate, waiting for the fireworks to start, happy Saturday everyone 💜

Thank you to Kerry McCarthy for highlighting the support needs of children with a parent in prison at the House of Commons yesterday. We're very excited that talks with the Children’s Minister about how children can be supported and identified at a statutory level will go forward.

My son will be the one to break the cycle,his father has been to prison multiple times,his paternal grandfather & his great grandfather, statistically children of prisoners are approximately three times more likely to be involved in delinquent activity compared to their peers

The research shows that,In general, children whose parents are incarcerated are at higher risk for increased antisocial behaviors & psychological problems,such as depression, This is why myself & all of my peers Children Heard and Seen fight for children affected by parental imprisonment

Where is the logic in the amercian justice system ( i know it happens here, but this is an amercian artucle) I hope you have the same energy for all perpetrators of sexual assault because this is pretty much par for the course for sex crimes.

Was in Chamber for statement on prisons White Paper. Surprised that Justice Minister didn’t mention family ties, and asked if she would meet me and Children Heard and Seen to make sure prisoner family support services are child centred. Glad to say, she said yes!

I'm pleased to see Education, Drug Treatment & Mental Health are at last heading to the Prison Service, but there's so much more work to be done.
