Pleased to share our single-bond rotary motor out today in nature . A doubly-kinetically gated chemically driven information ratchet. Thanks to Ben Roberts 🇪🇺 Platinum and Dave Leigh. See the paper here: nature.com/articles/s4158…

Excited to see this work out in J. Am. Chem. Soc. - low symmetry knots by social self-sorting! 🪢 With the dream team of Fredrik Schaufelberger Platinum @OliviaMKnapp and Lucian in Dave Leigh lab! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

Excited to share our latest paper out now in J. Am. Chem. Soc.! We (Stefan Borsley, Dave Leigh and I) tune the properties of an information ratchet by changing the fuel and additive we use to drive it. Thanks to Iñigo for solving the crystal structure. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

Initially a cobbled together idea for publishing a crystal of our machine, this evolved into a really interesting project. We investigate how structural changes affect reaction rate and kinetic asymmetry, and thus performance of a machine. Top kinetics from Ben Roberts 🇪🇺 !

We have fully funded PhD positions in our group! Come join us if you’re interested in nonequilibrium chemistry, supramolecular chemistry or membranes. See borslab.net for more info. Details of the two posts below. Really sorry, Uk only. (Retweets appreciated!)
