At the Foothill Area releaguing meeting and if approved, get ready for a 20-school mega conference. It would combine the 605 League, Del Rio League, Gateway League and Mid-Cities League, minus Dominguez High and El Rancho High.

Six different proposals from nine leagues involving 55 schools are being presented at the Foothill Area Releaguing meeting.

After the first round of voting, Proposal A has 48.1 percent of the votes. This would involve El Rancho High joining the Almont League.

In the second round of voting, 31 of the 55 schools voted for Proposal C. This would feature four leagues-one of 20 schools, one of 16 schools, one of 12 schools and one of seven schools (the Foothill League).

After the third round of voting, Proposal C has 68.5 percent of the votes while Proposal A has 31.5 percent. One more round of voting to go.

Proposal C wins with 34 votes.
