This month I’ve read both Brooklyn and Long Island, my first books by Tóibín, and I’ll definitely be reading more. The story of a young woman from Ireland, who starts a new life in Brooklyn without having a say in the matter. Tóibín says so much by saying not very much.

I have this one on preorder! My daughter absolutely loves this series!

I’m trying to book a family holiday. It’s ridiculous that it’s £2000 cheaper to drive to Manchester, stay in a hotel there either before or after the holiday and fly from Manchester Airport, than to fly from Glasgow Airport ✈️ which is 10 mins from me!
