Happy holidays! Introducing RTutor.ai, an AI-powered app that lets you chat with your data in English! RTutor uses Davinci (#ChatGPT’s sibling) to turn requests into R code, which is executed & results are shown instantly, available as a HTML report in seconds. 1/8

Some thoughts on core facilities. 1. These are enormous all-boat lifters if supported well. 2. They should be run by experts who are commensurately valued and supported. This is a career path. Include names on papers if they’ve contributed insight, even if fee-for-service. /1

⚛️Protein structures are key to elucidating molecular details of cellular processes. #AlphaFold2 & others unveiled millions of tertiary structures, but these proteins' quaternary structures remain mostly a mystery. Here's how to bridge the gap. Thread👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

It turns out that sparkling water and raisins are *fascinating*. My daughter and I happened upon this effect playing together in the kitchen a long time ago, and I couldn't help but explore the system more deeply... 1/n arxiv.org/abs/2308.12927

How to design binders to any small molecule ligands, flexible or polar? How to turn binders turned to sensors without complicated engineering? We solved these 2 problems with a single method, binder and sensor design through shape complementary pseudocycles.

Time to ditch BioRender? I had no idea they were claiming copyright to the figures we make with it, even after we pay for use of the service.
