In that exchange, Johnson also said Riley didn't know what he was trying to pass along to then-VP Mike Pence: "My chief of staff, again, he didn't know what we were being asked to deliver." But Trump campaign official Mike Roman texted Troupis, "I told Sean what is [sic] was"

For years, Sen. Johnson has downplayed his knowledge about the effort to deliver fake electoral documents. He told A.J. Bayatpour in Dec. "He didn't connect Jim (Troupis)." Now, newly released documents reveal more including Johnson suggested edits to Troupis testimony. ⬇️⬇️
