I’m here in Salina as No. 2 Eudora (25-1) is set to face No. 7 Rock Creek (19-7) in the 4A state softball tournament. Sam Claire is starting in the circle for Eudora.

FINAL: Eudora wins 4-0 over Rock Creek to advance to the semifinal round. Claire threw three K’s and allowed a hit in the final inning. The Cardinals will play the winner of Fort Scott and Chapman, which is coming up next, tomorrow at 1 p.m.

It’s tied 0-0 in the bottom of the second here in the 4A state softball semifinal game between Eudora and Fort Scott. The Cardinals have two runners on base with no outs.

FINAL: Eudora 2, Fort Scott 0 The Cardinals are back in the state championship game. Claire threw 13 pitches for a strikeout in the second out, and shortstop Katie Courter caught an infield popout on the first pitch of the next at-bat to win the game.

The 4A state championship is here — No. 1 McPherson (30-0) and No. 2 Eudora (27-1). Neither team lost to a 4A school this season.
