Usually found up a hill somewhere in Scotland, size doesn't matter. Backpacking, bothies and camping, love it.

A few weekends back seen me at Rothiemurchus Lodge. First day up Braeriach straight from the hut. Started off lovely but ended up in the clouds so no views to be had. Day two I walked back towards the Lairig Ghru then doubled back through some lovely forest to Loch Morlich.

Heading up North, we stopped off at Laggan Locks to see if the Eagle Barge was still there. It was so we had a coffee and a pint. Whilst there, the small cruiser 'Lord of the Glens' passed through the lock. That looks like a lovely way to travel.

Headed up to Beinn Fhada (Ben Attow) as I had its two munro tops still to do. We were treated to a sun rise and a moon set before we set off. The stalkers path round the back of the mountain is a great way up with lots of rugged views and zig zag tracks. Got a great day for it.

A bit of an epic on Ben Nevis. Went up with a couple of friends to give morale support, I also had a top to do on it. On the way down, came across an injured lady. Ended up on phone to police & mountain rescue. Walked casualty to half way lochan where she was evacuated by heli.

On Monday we headed to Borrowdale for a hillwalking club trip. Being such a nice day, we went for a short walk up Latrigg, an outlying shoulder of Skiddaw where a short walk to the summit rewarded us with views of Skiddaw and Blencathra, as well as over Keswick to Derwent Water.

Hoping to spot some otters on Rum, we spent some time in the otter hide but no luck, they were certainly hiding from us. ๐Ÿ˜…There were some terrific fungi though, came across the most beautiful one I have ever seen.

Hoping to get our crampons on, we headed for Meall nan Tarmachan. The normal route up where we hoped to get our crampons on was a bit patchy, but we noticed to the left of it, a longer line of snow that looked a better bet so off we set.
