If you're going to try Matrix, I would recommend seeing servers.joinmatrix.org so you can find a server that fits the kinds of community you want to be around, instead of just putting more load on the main matrix.org server

I would not recommend Root simply because it's a proprietary service. stoat.chat and the Matrix network are both open-source technologies maintained by communities, for communities. They have less incentive to screw people over in the future.

Jesse, now I can no longer recommend the Base app to offchain people. Nobody wants your content coins. They always lose their value. I would always tell people to use Talk mode instead of Trade mode. Now I’m probably going to recommend newcomers use the Farcaster app
