Been waiting for Dylan O’Brien to get his flowers since his Teen Wolf days. I’m glad that he got off the action star path he was on - even tho that was painful considering what he went through. He’s always been the funny guy who can act, so I’m glad the world gets to see that

Diane Keaton’s death hits particularly hard. She was the face in all the movies I watched growing up - Father of the Bride, First Wives Club. And then she was there in all the rom-coms I adored as a young woman. Beautiful, effervescent, vivacious - her vitality lit up the screen.

I actually really liked After the Hunt. It can feel a little muddied, a little messy, but for me it’s really a film on how each generation processes pain & trauma. Julia Roberts is phenomenal. My review: thefictiondepartment.com/after-the-hunt…

If there’s a Robin Williams biopic in the works, Michael Stuhlbarg would be a great fit. The man is a chameleon of an actor and I loved his camp performance in After the Hunt.

Jennifer Lawrence has great physicality as an actress. I remember that moment in mockingjay pt 2 when they remove Katniss’ neck brace & she makes her pain feel so real. The anger in her eyes as her neck is touched, the hoarseness in her voice. I knew then she was going 2 be great

ā€œCeline Song’s movie is an unflinching look at what modern dating has become, a mere transactional business deal leading to the merging of resources.ā€ My Review: thefictiondepartment.com/materialists-i…
