Functional tool or Ceremonial? An hour to flake, but 50 to grind smooth. Polished Neolithic axes have stunning aesthetics, some of the rocks used to make them came from mountain tops or deep underground. And yet they make excellent tools for felling trees. 📷 emmalouwynjones
