Together with Edyta Sasin and Prof. Daryl Fougnie we found that meaningful objects are vulnerable to attribute amnesia under certain conditions. Familiarity signals can influence responses, suggesting they sidestep attribute amnesia. Check our new preprint psyarxiv.com/phqw5

I'm thrilled to share our (Lluís Fuentemilla) latest work just published in Cerebral Cortex. We show distinct encoding and post-encoding representational formats contribute to episodic memory formation in humans. doi.org/10.1093/cercor…

⚠️🧠 New EEG paper with @NancyIsPsyched! We showed that distractor (-negative ) template are associated with higher mobilization of proactive control and later engagement of reactive mechanisms to guide attention during visual search. Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience direct.mit.edu/jocn/article/d…

How do multiple sensory signals enter multisensory integration? A seemingly innocent question, but seldom looked at. We probed how 2 visual signals & 1 sound shape the ventriloquism effect. /1 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

To make neural networks as modular as brains, We propose brain-inspired modular training, resulting in modular and interpretable networks! The ability to directly see modules with naked eyes can facilitate mechanistic interpretability. It’s nice to see how a “brain” grows in NN!

New paper with C. Teufel & E. v. d. Hagen! Using Mooney-style two-tone images, we show how gaze is guided by image-computable features combined with object representations resulting from prior-knowledge. Paper (open access: psycnet.apa.org/record/2023-59…). Summary: in the thread below.

Excited to share our new work in Nature Communications . Introducing a "comprehensive exploration" model that uncovers all mechanisms of visual working memory in one framework, built from a single large-scale controlled experiment. doi.org/10.1038/s41467…
