I really hate releasing anything in an "alpha" state, as most software never progresses past this point. However we can't fully design in a vacuum, and need feedback to get some of these interactions perfect. The last 20% always takes 80% of the effort 😅

At the start of the design process, every concept is high-level. Raw. Blurry. As we hone in on the solution, we layer in details to improve clarity & focus. Each layer requires more effort than the last. Our interactive demo is ~70% complete. Now to tackle the last 30%... 😮‍💨

A few years ago I realized that if I’m too busy to take something on, I shouldn’t say “I don’t have the time”. In fact, I often do have the time. It’s not that hard to squeeze in some extra time for someone. What I don’t have – and what I can’t squeeze in – is more attention.

You cannot ask a designer to design and have many meetings during the week. We need time to deep think, process and explore. Especially with product design. A simple 30 minute meeting is actually an extra 1-2 hours of wasted potential design time. Why? Because we’re so lost
