1/4 Spain, Decolonisation and Culture Wars. Decolonisation is hotly debated in the Spanish press, eg. 👇 The polarisation of the debate, which has also happened elsewhere, derails from the good things that these processes can bring. elpais.com/opinion/2024-0…

Cass Review Final Report – Media Briefing "Trans children face harm and injustice at every turn. The Cass Review’s final report does nothing to help trans children live happy, healthy, safe and confident childhoods." growinguptransgender.com/2024/04/09/cas…

The first reference of the first paper of the Cass Review Documents is by Michael Biggs, an anti Trans lobbyist who used to harass Trans people with an anonymous troll account & wrote for Transgender Trend. This tells you everything about the value of Cass oxfordstudent.com/2018/10/26/tra…

Academic colleagues who work in areas concerned with research methodologies have a duty to speak up here. The Cass Review's methods are horrendously flawed. Yet it is being passed off as an 'independent report' that should be taken seriously. Integrity matters.

Academics can identify methodological flaws, even outside their specialisms. It’s not hard to see the massive failings of the Cass Review. Already 260 have added their names to this letter condemning the pseudoscience of Cass. uncommon-scents.blogspot.com/2024/04/letter…

If you’re unfamiliar with Section 28, this is what it was like growing up as a teenager in the 90s for me. Playground ignorance validated by Govt policy. Although I wasn’t out or even knew what I was at the time, I can vividly remember how S28 presented, and it was ugly. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Just a reminder that those who use the term “gender ideology” are using a term that was developed by the Catholic anti-abortion, anti-feminist movement. It was used to denounce the goals and wins of feminist campaigns for gender equality. It had nothing to do with trans people.
