Another chilly morning 🥶 Diurnal roost sites without a flow of water are quickly evacuated (even after 1 hard frost). But numbers can increase at favourable sites. Others find refuge at small springs (pictured - the first record here this year) & drop into stream sides to feed.

The Coillte forest estate consists of over 1 million acres. We would welcome a detailed map from Malcolm Noonan of the 300,000 acres managed by Coillte for biodiversity. #greenlies
