A new study finds not everyone has equitable access to paid parental leave policies. In San Francisco, low awareness, eligibility restrictions, and a complicated application process kept new parents from benefiting from the leave they need.

Studying public health completely changed the lens in which I view medicine and patient care. Complex problems require complex solutions. Public health practice should be centered in med school curriculum. Patients deserve that.

This is FASCINATING! Such a unique opportunity for study into causes of premature births. Looking forward to seeing where this leads and the impact on prenatal care During Coronavirus Lockdowns, Some Doctors Wondered: Where Are the Preemies? nytimes.com/2020/07/19/hea…

I appreciate the article mentioning professional dress is expensive and can place a significant burden on FGLI students. I don't know if this is true everywhere, but our hospital provides med students with scrubs for free and launders them. It's a huge help

Being a Peer Support Advocate is one of the best things I've done in med school. So blessed to work with such incredible Wellness Warriors! 💛💙

I'm a bit late, but thank you to everyone who attended the #ASC2021 Anti-Racism panel yesterday and for all of your kind words. It was an honor to represent the med student perspective. I hope we all take what was shared and do our part to make surgery and medicine anti-racist

Heard today: 'Women are over-mentored and under-sponsored.' That resonates. Let's celebrate #InternationalWomensDay with disruptive change, starting now. Nominate a woman colleague today. WomenSurgeons #WomensDay #WomenInSTEM

#MatchDay is coming 😳Took a break from my (mostly done) rank list to register with #MedGradWishlist (link in bio) More than the tangible things, I'm super grateful for the support of BIPOC on Med Twitter. Your insight and encouragement have meant the world ❤️ #Classof2023
