With a lot going on in the world at the moment it was an absolute pleasure to present four on-call charter awards Oakham Fire Station for local businesses in Rutland that support the release of staff to attend emergencies - thank you 👍👏🚒

Gong day. A quick add up of those on the list today and there was around 900 years of ambulance dedication celebrated in Leicestershire today. We don’t do it for medals but as a way of saying thank you, it works!

Please remember: ice is water, not an extension of the land! Avoid frozen rivers, lakes, ponds and canals. It can be tempting to 'just see how thick the ice is' - but the consequences don't bear thinking about. #wintersafety #icesafety #teamredwatch #callsandmore

Poorly parked vehicles can delay our crews reaching incidents, which could mean the difference between life and death. It's that serious. So please, always park responsibly and consider if an emergency vehicle would be able to pass by.
