A throwback to 31 May 1947: Liverpool beat Wolverhampton 2-1 at Molineux and moved to the 1st place in their final game of the season, overtaking Wolves by just 1 point! However, the Reds had to wait another 2 weeks for Stoke to play their last game to ensure they won the title.

Happy 68th birthday Lawro! Mark Lawrenson was born on 2 June 1957 in Preston. Liverpool FC signed him from Brighton in 1981 and together with Alan Hansen he formed one of the best centre-back partnerships in the #LFC history! Mark spent 7 amazing years at Liverpool.
