While rain fell this past weekend, keep those umbrellas close by because additional showers and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night through Wednesday evening. So far it looks like Thanksgiving Day should be dry.

Break out the rain gear! Coverage increases late tonight bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms through Wednesday morning and the early parts of the afternoon. At this time severe weather is not anticipiated.

Slow moving thunderstorms are moving in to the Valley, as expected, early this Wednesday morning.

RADAR UPDATE | 5:20AM-- Coverage for showers and non-severe thunderstorms are increasing across the RGV. Make sure to have the rain gear when heading out the door today

RADAR UPDATE | TUES 6:41AM-- There is now a flood advisory for northern Starr & Hidalgo county, specifically impacting Arroyo. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. Radar estimates 1-3 inches have fallen and an additional 1-2 could fall with this slow moving storm.

RADAR UPDATE | WED. 7:23AM-- Spotty showers are popping up north of I-2. Current impacts include heavy rain

With scattered rain activity this morning make sure to slow down, increase your following distance and turn on your headlights!! Its best to avoid cruise control and know that heavy rainfall will drop visibility and create ponding on the roadways (standing water).

RADAR UPDATE | WED. 9:13AM-- Rain activity is still ongoing, mostly across Hidalgo county. Latest observations show conditions are not favorable for severe weather. However due to slow moving storms are capable of producing moderate rainfall rates and localized minor flooding

RADAR UPDATE | WED. 10:29AM-- Scattered rain showers with thunderstorms are still expected over the next few hours. Hazards mostly include heavy rainfall as the overall severe weather threat is wicked low.

WED. 11:29AM-- Turn around, don't drown. We have a flash flood warning for southern Willacy county until 1:45pm. Observed rainfall across the warned area is between 1.5 to 2 inches of rain. Additionally another 2 inches is possible.

There may be a few light rain showers across Starr county this Monday morning but the main weather story is the cool conditions. Highs this afternoon will warm to the low 60s, possibly only the upper 50s for some.

Stepping out the door this morning we have lots of clouds with areas of light mist/ drizzle. The main weather story for the Valley, however, is another cold front set to arrive Thursday. This will increase rain chances later in the week!

A tad bit warmer today thanks to a return of southeasterly winds. All day look for mostly cloudy skies with highs peaking in the upper 70s. Current conditions heading out the door? Mostly cloudy sitting in the upper 50s.

High temperatures have likely peaked across the Valley with todays cold front nearly all the way through the viewing area. Expect temperatures through the afternoon to drop along with gusty north winds.

Cool conditions today with improvements through the weekend!

A bit cooler today with highs in the mid 60s for much of the Valley with lots of sunshine. Near average conditions tomorrow then the rest of the week is trending above average!

We have some areas of dense fog this Friday morning. Once the fog burns off we'll see partly cloudy skies with highs peaking in the mid 80s this afternoon.
