Red for the love, red for the blood, read to get the facts, read for the act! Survivors dressed in red is what they’ve read! #BelieveSurvicors

This tweet is for Dr. Ford. You put yourself through so much and I want you to know it wasn’t in vain. You started a movement and we’ll see it through. If they won’t listen to our voices, then they’ll listen to our vote.

Kids need to know that their safety (physical and emotional) are important, nonnegotiable and a right they are entitled to. Never make a child feel like their safety is based on your mood as parent. That’s where a lot of dysfunction comes from within kids.

🗣Penis, Vagina, Butt/Buttocks & Breasts. Parents teach your kids the appropriate name for body parts. Not Pee Pee, Wee Wee, Ta Tas, Coo Coo, Cat, or bun bun. You don’t want your kids saying Dae Dae put his wee wee on my ta tas after he pee pee. Words Matter!

🗣🗣🗣The typical sexual abuser isn’t a “Chester” or a person who looks they “mess with Lil kids”. It’s your brother, uncle, coach, sister, baby sitter, play cousin, friend you’ve known all ya life and ‘em. Kids are abused more often by people they know WELL

In the work I’ve been doing w/GWO I’ve noticed anytime I say sexual abuse people instantly become hesitant, apprehensive, doubtful or unsure. Across SES, gender and race. Why is that? I can talk, twerking, pills/drugs, or violence without seeing a blink 🤔

We encourage Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam to grant #Clemency4Cyntoia. Cyntoia Brown was a victim of child sex trafficking, raped and forced into prostitution to stay alive. She deserves our empathy and your mercy

We’ve got to stop 🛑 placing blame and being divisive, it’s time for change, no more minimizing everything gets called by its name. #survivorstrong #GWO #helphopehealing #TruthtoLight

The innocence of young black boys and girl has been grossly undervalued for far too long! There’s been a serious mishandling of trust, power and control. Gone are the days of permissive and willful ignorance.

I am 1 of many survivors. As a survivor sometimes you just need to know who has your back! Get the Word Out, recognizes the importance of survivors of sexual abuse having a safe space where their thoughts, feelings and experiences can be validated, something I believe in 100%.

Can’t put a price on the suffering that occurs as a result of sexual assault but this settlement hopefully allows survivors to feel heard in some way

“She’s a lot” You’re right. I’m a lot of woman. With a lot of layers. A lot of personality. A lot of dreams. A lot of ideas. A lot of strategies. A lot of emotions. A lot of love. Yeah, you’re right. I am a lot.

The storyteller’s narrative isn’t only about her experience. It’s about existence, hope, and overcoming. #TruthisthenewBEAUTY

Nothing like a bad situation, relationship, experience, job, habit, or hardship that teaches you how to enjoy and appreciate what’s good! I’m wiser and better! 💪🏾
