This is the antenna feed for the #Biomass (Earth Explorer 7) mission. It powers a 12m dish at 435 MHz, likely using 6 MHz chirps with ~120W at the feed and 3kHz pulse repetition. It will be a fun signal to process.

FUN FACT J.J. Thomson won the Nobel in Physics in 1906 when he showed electrons were particles. 31 years later his son G. P. Thomson won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1937 for showing that electrons are waves.

Mehdi My response is RF Cat. I built it for myself for out the office activities and then for my clients which saw it and discovered how useful is that. It is more expensive because of Microsoft Surface tablet but with 2736 x 1824 it is much more useful.

The RF Cat frame is a CNC machined, black aluminum plate. Under the vibration-isolated tablet unit is mounting plate to compose dedicated set of devices. Here SDRs AirSPY R2 and HF+. Simple, solid, lightweight with a frequency range that allows analysis of signals in the field.

In the past 3 days, two asteroids — 2025 PF2 and 2025 PU1 — passed closer than the geostationary satellites delivering our preseason #NFL games this weekend. #asteroid #astronomy
