It is a good listen. Shame history keeps repeating itself. Basketball in the UK in general(not just the BBL) has always struggled to build anything consistently. Time passes, changes are made but we always end up no better off than we started.

Vincent Macaulay John Hobbs The idea that somehow 777’s involvement in British basketball has been a good thing is frankly fanciful, and when the full story comes out, it will be clear how damaging it has been in terms of reputation, sustainability and future funding

The biggest question is how they do, not owning their own arena. I don't think professional basketball is sustainable long term without it.

Hiding behind the rules and regs as many a bureaucracy does. The Olympics administrators say that if your passport says female, you're female. Someone should just stand up and say it's wrong, we're sorry and let's fix it.

So I was trying to explain to a family member what was happening in British Basketball, telling them that a new group was found that was bidding on the licence for the pro league. they said, "Oh, is it 888?"

Amazing! I've watched Holly since she was a junior playing up with the women and she has consistently improved every year. Anything is possible for her. As she said, if not this year, then next year.

mindboggling to me that this stuff can go unreported. Seen it before in the British basketball world(not talking about the pro league this time) so shouldn't be surprised. Imagine the NBA pretending that nothing happened when a player got in trouble for gambling issues.

Nice to see a former WBBL player forging a career in sports in the US using her PHD in Sport Psychology from the University of Essex. Looks like some good stuff in here.

It can't be all three's and layups. Sometimes the midrange shot is the best shot. Depends on the player and the situation, i.e. what else was available. Very reasoned response.

Love this. The trick is getting everyone to buy in. Is it the character of the players, the way the message is delivered, or the messenger? Probably all three.
