Keynote for Day 2 quieted me and slowed me down in a way I have never experienced at a conference presentation. I will need to watch the recording to fully take in what was offered. #CCLR2021

Third and final day of #CCLR2021. One of my early morning on-demand choices was this great work by UWaterloo PhD candidate, Jasmine Nijjar. @CanadianCals

Mark has been influential in my career. I had the privilege of serving as his assistant to the Editor of JARR and then Leisure/Loisir, was a TA for one of his courses, was being a student in the doctoral seminar he led, and he served on my dissertation committee! Well deserved!

Ron has had a significant influence on how I think about the field and the work I do. I still - despite being 20 years graduated from my PhD at UW - reach out for and value his advice and encouragement.

Watching great women’s sport action this evening from home. The UNB at home v Acadia in basketball - thanks for the commentary Joyce Slipp! Also watching UNB @ Acadia for volleyball - playing at my alma mater. #goredsgo

One can only imagine the passion and work that went into putting on today's UNB Women in Sport conference. The leadership/executive team includes several women completing degree programs in UNB Kinesiology. Proud!

Really enjoying the panel of women leaders. "It's all about how you perceive the obstacles" - only one of the great bits of wisdom shared.

Charlene Shannon, PhD (@leisurethings) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This panel offered so many insights. Stories of challenge, support and sound advice on advocating for, engaging with and leading women within equity seeking groups in the context of sport.

Charlene Shannon, PhD (@leisurethings) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I learn a lot about the behind the scenes support that many women provide. Great idea for a panel! Nutrition. Physio. Mental performance. All critical to sport. Thank you all!

Enjoyed learning about Jocelyne Larocque's journey with hockey and hear examples where she has spoken out for gender equity. Glad she continued to have faith in her dreams despite not seeing many women playing hockey. Great recommendation to follow The GIST Canada
