"He’s behind you!" "Oh no he’s not!" 🎭What a festive fun-filled time we enjoyed at the Victoria Halls, Bolton watching Sleeping Beauty! As always, our children were an absolute joy to be with, and they enjoyed singing🎶, dancing🕺and booing the baddies away!

Traditionally, the Leigh Town Carol Concert has been one of the most uplifting events in the festive calendar; last night, thanks to Father Kevin, this service was adored by children, staff & families from Leigh St John's, Leigh CE Primary & Leigh St. Thomas CE Primary.

The festivities continued to flow on our final school day of 2022; look at who stopped by to treat the children to a selection box each! The cheeky Grinch was also on hand to add some Christmas mischief😁

What a lovely surprise it was for the children to receive these delicious festive treats generously supplied by the fantastic NJ Cleaning! Thank you very much🫶🏼

Today, we experienced another amazing morning in the company of the incomparable Graham Skelland. Children were treated to a show which celebrated the best of the North West of England; they gained understanding about the styles of music originating from where they live.

It was an absolute joy to welcome back former pupil Rebecca Williams, an inspirational PhD student from Cambridge University, to talk to our curious KS2 pupils about her life, work and research into dementia. What an insightful day we had learning about the brain! Thank you Rebecca👏🏼

What a memorable residential our Y5s have enjoyed in our capital city! They have experienced a river cruise on the Thames, explored the National History Museum, toured The Tower of London, viewed the skyline on the London Eye, watched 'The Lion King' and much, much more!

Wow! Check out our Y1 castle builders! Thanks to the wonderful Creative Builders, for a fantastic session of lego castle building. The children demonstrated great teamwork to build strong and stable fortresses to withstand enemy attacks. Look at their incredible creations. #LEGO

What a morning our Y6 had today working with the amazing Creative Builders! They displayed excellent teamwork as they followed instructions to build a rotational fairground ride, using coding software to complete various challenges. #LEGO #stemlearning

What an inspirational visit from Breaking Limits today! The incredible Bart Gee began with an assembly explaining to our children how he has turned disability into possibility! Followed by visits to each class, Bart shared how he has defied the odds to achieve triathlons & more!

Today, we enjoyed a special workshop led by REEL education. The workshop gave the children the opportunity to learn about fishing and take part in some fishing inspired activities with professional coaches. The children had much fun & learned lots about different types of fish.

It was great to visit Leigh St John's for the 1st time and work with both Year's 2 & 6 the children enjoyed the Magnet Fishing Game ReelEducation Angling Trust @TYCoaching10

Today, children at LSJP wore their jeans to school to support Jeans for Genes UK day. Thanks go to our parents for their kind donations, which will go to families cruelly affected by genetic conditions.
