I think voting for Harris despite her Gaza position is the bitter but right course in the circumstances. I respect those who disagree. But those who say Trump doesn’t matter because “it couldn’t get any worse.” That’s the willful ignorance willing to sacrifice millions.

I'll be voting for Harris today. A brief thread of my reasons why. This is not to argue with Trump supporters, this is to share with anyone who is on the fence.

Not only this, but a lot of people—not only or even especially on the left—have become convinced that responding to disagreement with shaming, cruelty, and condescension—even to allies—is a mark of principle and virtue. It usually isn’t, actually!

The people who differ on strategy from you today may not be your enemies. Because this ballot won’t save Gaza in either direction. Our coalitions could. They are worth protecting, because we have work to do tomorrow. A lot of work.
