20 titles down, 77 to go. 1946: New Orleans (La.) Post 125 CHARLESTON, S.C.: After losing the opener, New Orleans won 4 straight games to bring their city its 2nd ALWS championship. The comeback was complete with a 3-1 win over Trenton, N.J., in the title game. #LegionBaseball100

The 1949 ALWS brought our 1st Player of the Year: 1949: Oakland (Calif.) Post 337 OMAHA: Led by the 1st American Legion Player of the Year, Ray Herrera, & batting champ J.W. Porter (.551 in tournament play), Oakland won the ALWS with an 8-6 win over Cincinnati. #LegionBaseball100
