I think one of the most exciting things in pharma this year (and not talked about enough) is the upcoming launch of RSV vaccines. Here's a comparison of the RSV vaccines in older adults (≥60 yo). Likely to see approvals for GSK and Pfizer next month. $PFE $GSK $MRNA

Matthew Herper IMO this exact point is the scariest thing about enrolling in a gene therapy trial, and I don’t think it’s being communicated to patient communities as a key consideration.

The “anti woke” (a term I loathe) movement is such a grift. The real objective is clearly to re-assert the caste system that was the US for centuries. When regulating thought (and one of the most beautiful poems I’ve ever heard) becomes a non-event, facism has officially arrived

"I won't invest in that start-up because if it's successful I'll have to pay capital gains taxes on the profits," said no one, ever. Yet, there's a tax break that does exactly this. Broaden the base, lower the rate. But actually do it. equitablegrowth.org/money-for-noth…

People are focused on the possibility that AI will make gigantic moral errors. But it's the everyday choices that make up the fabric of our human lives. If those become a little bit colder, it matters. And because each decision is small, we might not notice it happening.

The shift to 'healthspan' as a term is nice, but I still think the whole 'longevity' field is built on a very flawed foundation: prioritizing duration over fullness and health.
