Day 4 of LCOY Kenya Official at SB62 in Bonn we delve into #JustTransition. Unlocking delivery under the Just Transition Work Programme so that it helps move ‘Just Transition’ from a necessary concept, to a lived reality, across economies and societies.

In many nations, especially across the Global South, there are glaring gaps; lack of relevant data (evidence) and meaningful engagement frameworks with informal sector workers.

The first day of the LREB PRE-LCOY in partnership with YWCA Kenya has brought together young people from the LREB region. We are: 1. Drafting the LREB position paper 2. Engaging in discussions on climate finance and Just Transitions. #roadmaptocop30

How can we strengthen regional input into the Global Stocktake process? How can we advocate for equitable climate finance flows to the grassroots? How do we elevate youth voices in Just Transition pathways for LREB. Some of the discussions at the ongoing LREB Pre-Lcoy Kisumu.

ALIN has today joined LCOY Kenya Official and YWCA Kenya for the Lake Region Economic Bloc Pre- LCOY in Kisumu, the forum seeks to capacity build youth on local climate finance, Just Transition and draft a LREB Pre LCOY position paper.
