The House passed two gun safety bills months ago, but you continue to block them. Since you tweeted your prayers, another American community, Dayton, has been shattered by gun violence. Americans are dying, and you’re blocking us from helping them. Who exactly do you serve?

In May, Trump said we are being “invaded” by immigrants. The El Paso shooter said he wanted to stop the “invasion.” Trump asked his rally crowd: "How do you stop these people" from crossing the border? "Shoot them!" Someone screamed. He laughed. Then the crowd laughed.

I get why we all do it, and have to do it, but, really, honestly, it makes no sense to ask Trump to denounce the rhetoric of white nationalists like the El Paso shooter when their rhetoric is *his* rhetoric.

The election’s only two months from today. Americans all across the country are making their plans for how and when they’re voting this year, and I hope you are too. Get registered and make sure your friends, family, and neighbors do the same at IWillVote.com.

Among the many atrocities we watched tonight by Trump this one is very alarming. By claiming (falsely) that mail-in voting is fraudulent he is setting up to discredit an election result not in his favor. This is dangerous.

President Trump refused to condemn White supremacists for inciting violence at anti-police brutality demonstrations across the country, claiming instead during the presidential debate that violence was coming from "the left wing." #Debates2020 cnn.it/3imxgxO

Congratulations future President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris! A big thanks to everyone who voted, worked the polls, and maintained hope throughout this week. A very special thanks to voters in Detroit and Philadelphia. Now let’s start to heal and grow together.

“Being a good person matters.” Well said, Van Jones. I hope a lot of Americans-and others around the world-can finally rest well tonight.

❤️ this. There are many people who risk their lives every day and are an integral part of patient care who are not direct health care providers. I am thankful for the service they provide. I hope the prioritization of their vaccinations is universal.

Michigan Medicine please hurry and get the ICU staff, residents, and attendings vaccinated. I cannot fathom anything more demoralizing than seeing all these photos of our colleagues getting immunized while we wait. The stairwells are getting pretty full.

Disparities by design. “...only frontline essential workers, long-term care residents and people 75+ were eligible to receive the #COVID19 vaccine in AL. Yet, in 47 of the state's 67 counties, life expectancy among Black people is less than 75 years...” cnn.com/2021/02/10/hea…
