A lot of damage gets done by advocates who believe that ADHD & autism are not disabilities. Toxic positivity has also done a tremendous amount of harm. We only have to look at how politicians are capitalising on this school of thought & long waiting lists.

We had a lovely big family holiday to Rosneath. Granny, siblings, great aunts and uncles, cousins and second cousins. Wee G done really well to engage and socialise. He loved having all his cousins around to give him attention and love. ❤️

A reminder that 2000+ autistic & learning disabled people are still detained in inadequate mental health units. Repeated promises have been made to end this barbarity but as usual the vulnerable are never a priority for politicians.

When a paid carer works too many hours, it’s a safeguarding concern. When an unpaid carer does the same, it’s called “love and duty.” That double standard is costing lives — and the system relies on it to save money. 🪡
