Today, New Dems were proud to welcome 22 Members-elect for New Dem Freshman Orientation! This strong freshman class will bring total New Dem membership to at least 108 Members in the 119th Congress, the most in the history of the Coalition.

The loss of life and property in LA is a tragedy brought on by the effects of climate change, winds, and dry conditions. It’s deeply wrong for anyone to politicize this instead of showing compassion for others who are losing everything. Let’s instead help Californians.

Congrats to Ken Jenkins for his big special election victory as Westchester County Executive. 64% is a tremendous result - and a statement in the face of Donald Trump supporting his opponent.

Before I traveled to DC this week, I made sure to fill out my absentee ballot for the RCSD 2025-2026 budget vote and BOE election. If you also will be out of town on May 20th, make sure to vote by absentee ballot in your local school board elections.

I proudly endorse Kevin C. Riley for re-election to City Council in District 12. Councilman Riley has always been a champion for the Bronx, and I look forward to fighting alongside him for the Bronx in his next term.

I am proud to endorse Vanessa L. Gibson for Bronx Borough President for re-election as Bronx Borough President. Having served with her in the NYS Assembly, I got to see her effective leadership first-hand. She has already done an exemplary job for the Bronx, and I look forward to continuing to work with her.

Mark Levine proved that he’s both tough + effective after standing up to Trump’s misinformation during COVID, passing legislation protecting tenants from illegal evictions, fighting for workers’ rights, and defending our communities. I’m proud to endorse him for NYC comptroller.

Was invited to the Warren County Dem Dinner this weekend. Talking with NY21 Dem County leaders from Warren, Essex, Washington, & Saratoga. The road for Dems taking back control of the House goes thru here & similar districts where we have to work hard to win over voters in ‘26.
