I'm encouraged to see reports like this from Ethiopia, noting traffic fatalities in Addis Ababa have dropped 16% with reduction in speeding as a key factor. Bloomberg Philanthropies supports these efforts and promotes road safety work to save lives and prevent avoidable tragedies.

I had the honor of speaking on a panel about the need for data to drive policy and real change at the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety. Proud of the collaboration between Bloomberg Philanthropies & World Health Organization (WHO) to meet the goal of reducing road traffic deaths by 50% by 2030.

I am excited to speak at Transforming Transportation next week hosted by World Bank and World Resources Institute. The 2025 forum will focus on turning policy into action for equitable, sustainable, and safe transportation systems. #ttdc25 transformingtransportation.org

Earlier today, I had the pleasure of kicking off the 2025 #Cities4Health Summit with Mary-Ann Etiebet Etienne Krug. Along with Vital Strategies and World Health Organization (WHO), @Bloombergdotorg is welcoming more than 60 cities to Paris for meaningful dialogue on effective strategies to combat NCDs and injuries.

Congratulations to the cities that were recognized with the 2025 Partnership for Health Cities Award by Bloomberg Philanthropies: Córdoba, Fortaleza, and Greater Manchester all made achievements in preventing NCDs and injuries. #Cities4Health
