By contrast, a man helping you change a tyre,checking an engine,driving someone home or fixing a neighbour’s plumbing is situational and voluntary. It’s not something men are expected to do every single day nor is it a structural obligation they cannot opt out of.

This is why I need people to understand that medical misogyny isn’t just about how doctors or nurses treat you, but also about the social stigma around abortion, pregnancy and miscarriage, and your legal/autonomy rights as a woman being violated, or even just questioned.
