A lot of competition in the Food Room last Thursday with the Royal Navy visit.  Four teams produced a lasagne and a sticky toffee pudding in 75 minutes.  There was even time for a spun sugar workshop.  Well done all! #royalnavy #goodfood #loveLacon

We played a football tournament yesterday where we played Tenbury, Church Stretton, Bishops Castle, Ludlow & Earl Mortimer. We won the tournament. My player of the tournament was Robbie Taylor. The boys were a credit to the school played superbly and behaved really well

Hear ye…Hear ye…only 2 days left to wait for the Lacon Childe Fete that will be the ‘Shropstar’ of Cleobury Mortimer. If the announcement from the ‘Town Crier’ did not give it away, then I’m sure ‘Old Henry’ will. Hobsons will be joining us for our Fete on Thursday 4th July.

Get ready to ‘Dance with Somebody’ as the ‘Nicest Kids in Town’ ‘Get the Party Started’ with a variety of acts performing on stage. The famous Lacon Lip Sync is back for another year. Of course, we are joined yet again by the fantastic GKY dancers!

A huge thank you to our KS3 & KS4 students who represented Lacon Childe in the Remembrance Parade & church service. Our students were complimented by members of the community for their appearance and smartness and for the number of students who represented us. Well done team!

"In order to improve, practice requires our full and undivided attention" (David Didau). For all our students it is vital to recognise the value of practice. The mock exams are approaching for our Yr11's so now is the time to be putting those revision strategies into action.

Last year’s Year 11 celebrate with ex-student Charlie Brown, who represented Great Britain in the Modern Pentathlon event this summer in the Paris Olympics. What an inspiration for all our current students, to see what hard work and dedication can lead to!

Our Christmas Concert took place on Monday fantastically organised by Miss Lloyd. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate music, dance, drama and poetry! A big thank you goes to Mr Martin for the lighting, Mr Warnes for the sound and to our PTA for their help and support.

On Saturday, this year's mock trial team travelled to Worcester Magistrates' Court to compete in the local heat of the national mock trial competition. The whole team performed brilliantly. The flawless performance of team member earned us the winners trophy for another year!
