Last week we co-hosted the 10th annual Bio-Med Tech-Girls program! 15 high schoolers toured labs, learned from UVA student volunteers, got hands-on with computer science and biomedical engineering design challenges, and shared their projects with friends and family.

The program is a collaboration between Charlottesville Women in Tech (CvilleWomenInTech), the department of Biomedical Engineering (Virginia BME) and the School of Education and Human Development. Tech-Girls Kim Wilkens, Ed.D.

It's been awesome to get to know Camilo Vieira through the work of the Global Center for Equitable Computer Science Education, so I'm excited we got the opportunity to record a podcast with him and share his story and amazing work in CS education!
