These are not accidental shootings while Hamas targeted Israeli military forces. They went out of their way to murder, kidnap, and rape civilians. They parade prisoners and corpses through the streets. You cannot sanitize it, no matter how much you yell whataboutisms.

I'm flabbergasted that anyone sees a parallel between Ukrainians fighting invading Russian soldiers, and Hamas smashing into Israel and slaughtering civilians. By all means criticize Israeli policy toward Gaza, but nothing justifies mass murder of kids at a dance.

My grandmother's earliest memory was being forced into an icy river to die. My mother's earliest memory was fleeing Kyiv from the Nazis. This weekend Jews were hunted and slaughtered just like in the pogroms and Holocaust. Check on your Jewish friends. They are not ok.
