This Panthers team is really damn good. Tkachuk hasn't scored in this series, but it hasn't mattered. They just come in waves.

Interesting season for the Leafs. Great goaltending hid the fact that they couldn't outplay their opponents on a regular basis, but they were better defensively. 34 didn't have his shot, and the stars didn't come through again. They also did a poor job with their bottom six

One positive for the Leafs is that Brad Treliving had a solid season. He was much better than in year one. He wasn't perfect (secondary scoring), but there's reasons for optimism based on how he fared last summer.

Three of the top four teams by 5v5 xGF% this season are in the conference finals. The Leafs need to be better than 19th next season.

There are a few iffy contracts on the books that the Leafs may try to move: Rielly 5 x $7.5M (NMC) Domi 3 x $3.75M (13 team NTC) Kampf 2 x $2.4M (10 team NTC) Jarnkrok 1 x $2.1M (10 team NTC) They're also using $300k in cap space for Reaves and Benning to play in the AHL.

The Leafs need to add forwards this offseason, and they don't have any of their next three first round picks. They would need a significant return to do it, but I wonder if they at least think about trading Joseph Woll (3 x $3.67M). He doesn't have any no-trade protection.
