this is imo the most damaging part of the crackdown on addons: many current leaders in the addon space will look at the new limitations and take their ball and go home, leaving a giant void that takes years to fill (if it ever does) rip weakauras and ty for your goated addon

on the “addon purge”: removing addon support is going to be harmful to a large portion of the WoW community, especially players who are disabled. unless the devs are able to perfectly replicate the addons, I could see a lot of players for sure quitting. no one asked for this.
